courtneypicCourtney Rinehart is from Detroit, Michigan. She began studying classical piano at age 6. She has played in bands since the age of 21, gigging the Metro Detroit area with her first band ‘We the People’. She studied classical and Jazz piano at the famed Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, as well as Music Theory and History at the University of Michigan. She then earned her BA in Music Therapy/Psychology at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Her internships were spent teaching Music in the Detroit Public School System. Courtney then travelled to New Orleans to season her musicianship. She spent a year there performing as a working musician in an international band. This led to her touring in Central America, and an opportunity to live in France and tour Europe playing for the record label La Sourde Oreille. She also travelled to W. Africa, where she had the honor of studying and performing with Les Ballets Africains de Guinee (The African Ballet of Guinea). Courtney then came to Atlanta where she has performed with the neo soul label the Earthseed Collective, and countless local venues as a solo artist. In Atlanta, She has worked for The Peggy Still School of Music, MusicLife Studios, Georgia State University’s Neighborhood Music Schools, The International Community School, Youth Choir Director at Holy Trinity Parish in Decatur, Alchemy Sky Studios,  The North Fulton School of Music, Lucky Dog Studios, Callanwolde Center, and C Note Productions at the CoLab@410. She continues to teach music and work with many local artists as vocalist, vocal coach, songwriter, artist development, and producer, including collaboration with Multi-platinum Grammy Winning producer George ‘Luney Tunez’ Jackson, and artist development with Sony artist Fabio Legarda, and Columbia Records Artist Raury.
Courtney La CiReine is the artist name for Courtney Rinehart. She writes, produces, directs and performs her own music as a solo artist with C Note Productions.
